Victims Services
The grief and trauma surrounding the survivors of violent crime are unique. Crime is identified as a death where the police was involved including homicide, traffic fatalities where another driver was involved and drowning. For the Love of Christi offers assistance to crime victims with the help from the Office of the Attorney General and Travis County Victims Advocacy. We help through:
- Education them about the judicial process and related issues
- Access to our WarmLine Monday through Friday 9-5 for support and help during crisis
- On-going support groups with other crime victims
- Accompanying victims and their family to court appearances
- Training and workshops for professionals who assist crime victims with information about their rights and responsibilities as well as victims’ compensation programs
