Networking for Professionals who Work with Loss

FREE Bring your challenges to this NEW opportunity to work with the For the Love of Christi taff and other professionals in an informal setting. Each month a new topic will be discussed in this unique group on issues surrounding loss. 1 contact hour C.E.U. is available for LPC and LMSW or Certificate of Attendance. How to Facilitate a Grief Support Group
Saturday, February 24th
9:00am to 12 Noon
For the Love of Christi has been successfully operating Grief Support Groups since 1987. We want to share our tried and true methods to help others address the unique issues surrounding grief. The workshop will include how to address “red flag” behaviors in a group setting and provide specific strategies for a variety of types of loss. 3 contact hours C.E.U.’s are available for LPC and LMSW or Certificate of Attendance. Helping Parents with Grieving Children
Saturday, March 31st
9:00am to 12 Noon
When a family experiences the death of a loved one the loss is magnified by the myriad of changes within the family structure, routine, and over all sense of what is normal. This 3-hour presentation will include an interactive process of understanding the dynamics of the grieving family and specific ways to facilitate the movement from chaos to a place of a “new normal”. 3 contact hours C.E.U.’s are available for LPC and LMSW or Certificate of Attendance. Cost: $50
Helping Couples in Grief
Saturday, April 21st
9:00am to 12 Noon
A significant loss often places couples into a period of crisis. The death of a loved one can magnify existing vulnerabilities or trigger new challenges to the relationship. This 3-hour workshop will explore ways to assist couples in turmoil and to guide them to utilizing a larger support system. Please feel free to bring your cases that you would like to discuss. 3 contact hours C.E.U.’s are available for LPC and LMSW or Certificate of Attendance. Cost $50
